I’m broken.
I’m hiding.
I’m not the woman he claims he loves.
Hope Moon is a figment, a fairy tale. A single mom with sunny smiles on the outside, but whose pitch-black insides are riddled with demons.
I can’t look him in the face, can’t tell him who I am.
If I let my guard down, Jack will find me.
Jack’s wrath left me bound in hell.
Can Hank’s love set me free?
I’ve been hurt.
I’ve been used.
I’ve been betrayed.
But Hank Lawless isn’t a man to be trifled with.
Hope Moon has caught me like a fly in a web. Her gaze is haunted, her moves calculated. There’s more to the dark haired beauty than meets the eye. She’s hiding something.
I need to find a way to break down her defenses.
I vowed to walk beside her through her own personal hell.
But is my love enough to free her from it?

Resurrecting Hope by Jane Anthony
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Resurrecting Hope is a darker, angsty romance. It’s addicting, insightful, and can be a hard read at times, but it’s impossible to put down.

Hope is on the run. She ran straight to a small southern town, changed her name and has been living under the radar ever since. Hope comes off as shy, quiet, and a bit crazy. She’s broken, and her heart and soul have been repaired as much as Hope believes they ever will be. But, she has an air of strength, that cannot be denied. Especially as her past is revealed more and more and we are witness to her experiences.

Hank, well, he’s no Prince Charming. He’s flawed and real. He recognizes when he makes mistakes. As much as I loved Hank, I also wanted to strangle him at times. He loves hard and deep, but, like a man, refuses to really listen. He can be a bit stubborn.

Resurrecting Hope was an amazing read. I loved the way the past is mixed with the present and and how the past is revealed to the reader. This book makes you feel, the author does an amazing job conveying feelings and making the reader’s heart race at certain points. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy the darker side of the romance genre.
