Those of you that had to wait since LAST NOVEMBER for this installment in the trilogy …. Bless your hearts …
I just finished all three installments and need a minute to fully review, but just wow
Okay, let’s begin … since I was able to read Fabrice Arbidoux and Isabella Piori ‘s entire journey in one swoop, I think it only fitting that I review it that way.
A few words on our MCs … Fabrice has controlled patience. As the saying goes, he knows when to hold them and when to fold them. And he always gets the outcome he desires **swoon** His ridiculously sexy alpha tendencies are also wrapped in a sexy sweet and gentle cloak. He is positively divine, i tell ya!
Isabella Piori is a strong, independent woman trying to make something of herself outside her family’s hold. She’s beautiful and sexy and quite dramatic. You’re gonna need a healthy dose of patients to not want to slap her thru your kindle!
So the overall gist of this story is forbidden love. Down to its basic core, it’s an office romance. It just so happens the players are in very powerful and potentially dangerous jobs. But the basic taboo and struggle are the same no matter the office environment…
Let me now break down the installments for you in a very simple way. If these were a full length novel, The Ambassador and Me would be the beginning of the book where our MCs dance around their palpable scorching chemistry and finally give in. Cue …. the secret taboo relationship the ensues in Paris, The Ambassador and Me: part deux. This is the meat of the story. Drama runs amok, secrets, back-stabbings, trust issues, what is truth what is not plays a major role, etc etc etc. And that is just the tip of the iceberg because Fabrice’s political persona also brings danger and intrigue. So if you weren’t glued to this journey before, you sure as heck are going to be now. And finally we get to the last leg of our book, My Sweet Isabella. Here is where ALL THE F*CKING FEELS begin to just pour out of the story. Because this is the part where the hero has to make gut-wrenching decisions that we as readers see as OH SO WRONG (or at least I did) but they have to happen or we wouldn’t have a proper story arc.
I was ridiculously lucky to be able to read this entire journey back to back, and it was intriguing and enthralling and just plain sexy! These two burned up the pages of my kindle from page one. I loved all the political conflict mixed in with the regular relation conflict. The layers added depth to the story. It added that touch of suspense you need for a story to stand out. It was a solid plot that unfolded beautifully. Each individual installment broke off at just the right moment leaving the reading with a sense of awe and blinking eyes LOL … Well done Mia Villano!! I look forward to more and more books by you very soon!
If you enjoy politically based or cloaked fiction romance stories, this is one I would highly recommend.
