Everyone expected me to play hockey.
I was good at it, but I was better at being a doctor.
So I hung up the skates and joined Doctors without Borders
But there is no place like home, so now I’m back.
And instead of being on the ice, I’m behind the bench as the team physician.
After years of playing cat and mouse, it’s time to admit it.
She’s mine.

Working as a social worker was a dream come true.
It wasn’t easy, and it has made me shut off my heart to love.
No commitment. No strings. No promises.
Until one fateful night changed everything.
He was there for me like no other one.
The biggest thing is I let him.
Maybe he was just made for me!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

And we’re off to a great start with this new series. I knew Julia and Chase would be a great addition to this family but I was blown away with how much I could connect with Julia. She is easily one of my favorite characters in Natasha Madison’s world. She was smart, funny and feisty. It was heartbreaking watching her go through all when all she wanted was to help.

And Chase comes off as a goofy guy in previous books, but steps up big time when she needs someone to lean on. The transition from friend to lover seemed so effortless and right I have no words to describe how them together made me happy.

And now that I know who our MC is in the next book are, I’m ready to burst with excitement. Is it February yet?!

You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips.
