After years of struggling as a single father to make ends meet, I’m finally content.
Until my son and I are barreled over by a puppy and its gorgeous owner.
The dog knocks my son down-literally-while the woman knocks me down-figuratively.
With her adorable accent and her taco-loving t-shirt, she has me reevaluating my life and wondering how content I really am.
Simple fun.
That’s all I was looking for.
But the day I met Griffin and his son, everything changed.
My walls are starting to crumble, piece by piece, as he and his son chip away at the concrete protecting my heart.
Now I’m questioning everything I thought I wanted, and wondering if maybe, he’s worth the risk.

Knocked Down by Nikki Ash
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The moment Griffin and Ava’s lives collide, sparks fly.

Knocked Down, a standalone, was a fun and refreshing read. A single dad and the girl next door, Knocked Down hooked me in the first few chapters, and held on. I loved Griffin, Ava and Levi. Levi was so much fun, he and Ava connected and their friendship was so cute. Ava is determined and hard working, but carefree as well. Griffin wasn’t prepared for Ava to enter his life, but I loved watching him work for her.

Overall, Knocked Down was a fun book. It got a bit angsty at times, but was well balanced. The characters were fun and intriguing. I enjoyed Ms. Ash’s writing style, and found the book to be paced evenly and surprising at times. This was my first book by the author, and I’m looking forward to checking out her backlist.
