“Hilarious and perfectly ‘played’ sports romance that I devoured in one sitting! I can’t wait to read more.” – #1 NYT Bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken
“The usual Grey crisp writing, lovable heroes that you kinda want to slap, and a heroine that doesn’t back down,” Resistance on Ice is another fun standalone novel in the bestselling Boys of Winter hockey romance series.” – Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author Ilsa Madden-Mills

This was an OK read – it made me smile, gave my heart a few flutters but not much else.
I liked Blake and Noelle. They were both sweet and cute but not sizzling hot like I want my “let hide for a while that were together” type of relationship. I think this is the first time I wanted more drama in a story so that tells me this is more it’s-me-not-you kinda review.
I’m giving these two a 3.75*. Like said I liked but but didn’t love it.

Even though this series is on its eighth book, it isn’t dragging. I could read about this team forever!! I’ve really enjoyed their stories as individuals and as teammates! This isn’t a new story, per say, but it has the author’s signature to it. I love this author’s style and voice. The stories are easy to read and the conflict is almost never so heavy that it drags the reader down. However, for me, this story lacked the depth that I am used to reading with her stories. It’s not any particular plot point, it’s more of an overall story depth. But I’m still a huge fan and would highly recommend any of her books!!
Sidenote: Noel and Noelle … seriously? LOL #twitchy
