At its core. This is a story of two broken people trying to find redemption. This is not a religious taboo story. Frank is not a really a priest/preacher/man of God/etc. He is a man with a really fucked up past who meets a girl in church. A girl who happens to be just as fucked up as him. It is a sexually driven story. Their sexuality is what drives their relationship/journey. It is how they purge themselves of sin.
I’m not gonna lie and tell you the story isn’t explicit because it’s WAY more than explicit at times. But it’s supposed to be. That’s what Clarissa Wild wrote. She told you that’s what she wrote. You don’t even have to read the book to know this. It’s right up there in the blurb. So why is anyone surprised?
There’s a veeeeeeeeeery thin line between distasteful and taboo. Father traveled this line the entire journey. Sometimes the story fell of the line for me and sometimes it just stayed on it unwavering. In the end, it’s was just an explicitly sexual journey of two very lost souls, living in the dark, looking for light. And they found that light, in each other and thru each other.
You’re going to find the book has a lot of little twist and some big turns. It’s what separates this story from just another filthy read to a love journey of HEA. It has a lot of feels hidden in those little twist so be ready. They snuck up on me and they might even surprise you. There’s also an element of suspense that may or may not catch you off guard … it kinda did for me because, #feels!
