Obsessive Reading Disorder “Lots of heavy material in this one. Some violence. Super steamy s3x. And best of all, some great humor.”

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Destroyed is the second book of a series. I did not read the first one, but highly recommend it, as it was very difficult to connect with and enjoy certain supporting characters. It’s a story of redemption, family, and forgiveness.

Juliana was fantastic heroine. She has made mistakes, really bad decisions. But it was what she felt she had to do. It was for the right reasons. Juliana kept me hooked, and I rooted for her the entire time. I felt everything for her, sorrow, joy, happiness. My heart was breaking for her, it seemed like everyone thought they were at a party and Juliana was the piñata. She did what she had to do and fought back when she finally could.

Garrett and the rest of the supporting cast was a lot harder to warm up to. I did warm up to Garrett, but still felt a little wary around him at times.

Overall, Destroyed was an interesting read. It touches on some sensitive subjects, and has raw, brash characters. The storyline felt a bit slow at points, but Juliana’s strength and resilience kept me hooked.
