Crank (The Gibson Boys #1) by Adriana Locke

Title: Crank

Series: The Gibson Boys #1

Author: Adriana Locke

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: November 10, 2017

This is one mistake Sienna Landry can’t buy her way out of.

As Walker Gibson looks at her, then at the damage to his precious truck (that she may or may not have accidentally inflicted), she knows she’s in trouble. It’s not the busted headlight and dented grill that’s sunk her though. It’s the downright sinful man in front of her that’s the problem.

The small town mechanic is broody. Rough. Smells like engine grease and gasoline and Sienna isn’t sure why that’s so sexy, but it is. It so is. She’s ready to peel off her panties at the drop of his wrench.

He wants her too. She can feel it when he brushes against her. Experience it as he presses her against the wall of the shop. It’s thinly veiled in his deep, brown eyes when he looks at her like she’s everything he’s ever wanted. So why won’t he give in?

The damage to Walker’s truck is the first of many mistakes between the two of them, ending with truths that rock Sienna’s world. Nothing can fix her broken heart except the love of a man that won’t, maybe even can’t, love her back.

Crank is a standalone romance in a new small town, blue-collar series from USA Today bestselling author Adriana Locke. Join readers everywhere as they fall in love with the delicious Gibson Boys.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ms. Locke has done it again. She gives us an emotional, sexy story that covers a huge range of emotions. Sienna Landry, a fixture from the Landry series, finally meets her match in Walker Gibson. He’s different from what she is used to.

Crank was a book I couldn’t put down. I had to know what would be happening. I was so intrigued by Sienna, Walker, and the Gibson clan, it almost felt like I was part of the story. I just got lost in the world. The sexy times were scorching, the dialogue was witty. The characters play off of each other very well. Its well written and paced quickly enough to keep you sucked in, and every little thing meant something. I have a new favorite Adriana Locke book, and this is it.

“That kind of love is born inside you. You’re born with an energy that connects to someone else’s and for reasons we will never understand, you’re brought together and it isn’t a choice anymore. That’s what true love is!”

I got to start this review by saying that Adriana Locke is the only ever author who made me cry not once, not twice but three fricking times.

This story is so beautifully written that I find it hard to explain how much I loved it. I loved the Gibson family dynamics. I loved how Sienna is independent, kiss-ass heroin who
Is, despite having family and friends all around, lonely and is still trying to find her place in the world.

Walker ; now to write that I loved this »dysfunctional« man is understatement of the year. I don’t or can’t explain what is it about him that will draw you in. You just want to hold him and take all his problem away and just do your best to see him smile nonstop. As the story develops you get why he is as he is; grumpy and rarely smiling . The side characters in this book were phenomenal; from Nana to both brothers to Peck. I was laughting so hard when I wasn’t crying like a big baby (bad Adriana Locke for making me do that :P)

This is probably my favorite book by Adriana to date. If this book is the indication of how this series is going to be then count me in as no.1 fan! <3
