Love In Bloom: The Ryders #3
By: Melissa Foster
Releasing August 17, 2016
World Literary Press
Actress Trish Ryder takes her job seriously and has no time for those who don’t. When she’s awarded a major role in a new movie featuring America’s hottest rock star, Boone Stryker, she’s beyond excited. The six-two, tattooed hunk of burning desire is known for his dedication to his craft—but when he ditches their first meeting, she begins to wonder if he’s just another rocker with a great PR team.
Sex, booze, women, and music pretty much sum up Boone Stryker’s private world. He’s coasted through life playing by his own rules with plenty of people willing to cover his tracks, and he’s not likely to change—until he meets a woman who refuses to give him the time of day, much less anything more.
Sparks fly from the first moment Trish and Boone meet—Tensions run hot and desire runs hotter when they’re trapped together on a remote location with no place to hide. Will sparks ignite, or will a hurricane douse the flames?
**sigh** I really should read more Melissa Foster books because I do so enjoy them so much. But then I think … if I binge, then I’d have to wait for her to write a new one LOL This way, there’s always one I can go back to and read as long as I pace them out. She’s a great go-to author because she hits the mark almost every time (and I say almost because I haven’t read every single book of hers so I can’t really say always). He characters make sense. Their drive makes sense. Their journey makes sense. And that’s crucial in a story. And most important, when she creates a characters, she sticks with it till the end. So her characterization makes sense. And her stories are real and relatable. You can sink right into them for a few hours while you read them.
She went above and beyond with this plot and gave it a nice little twist that will grab you and keep you interested. It’s a work-place trope, but not your usual boss/subordinate role. They weren’t working out as expected so they were given 10 days to get their act together to make this movie happen and start working well together …. well, they certainly accomplished THAT 🙂
This story was low on the angst and high on the heart. I smiled and had fun thru the entire thing. They truly were and unlikely couple on the outside that made very good sense on the inside and I loved it!
