Charming Co-Worker by Jeannine Colette & Lauren Runow

Title: Charming Co-Worker
Falling for a Sagittarius
Authors: Jeannine Colette & Lauren Runow
Publication date : November 23, 2020

All I want for Christmas is Branson Ford.

I’ve been starry-eyed for my handsome boss since the day I started working for him at Empire Media. Problem is, he doesn’t see me as anything more than his sweet assistant.

I need help becoming a vixen. I need someone to teach me how to be sensual, how to be desired, and how to get the man I’ve pined over for the last two years. So, I enlist the help of my co-worker.

My very sexy, very charming co-worker, Hunter Johnstone.

Hunter loves the thrill of the chase. He’s spontaneous, honest, and just the man I need for a lesson in passion. When he suggests we start a fake relationship, I think he’s crazy, but who am I to question his jealousy-inducing ways?

His little trick works—maybe too well. The line between friends and lovers is blurred, but maybe that’s because it was never really there. And just as I’m about to start seeing clearly, my Christmas wish comes true.

Charming Co-worker is book 2 of the Falling Stars Series, which is Zodiac themed, this story being Sagittarius. It’s a complete standalone contemporary romance that focuses on Hunter Johnstone and Katie Mcgee.

Katie is modest/conservative, intelligent, hard working, but she’s also naive and at times clueless. She’s a dreamer, wanting to live a fairytale love story. But who she thinks is Prince Charming actually becomes the villain, and she needs to see through the fog to see that she has her knight in shining armor right in front of her.

Hunter is sexy, smart, caring, fun, adventurous, but he’s also cautious and guarded when it comes to his heart. He doesn’t always trust his feelings. He doesn’t want to break any hearts or lead anyone on. Katie invokes that spark he’s been waiting years to find, the problem is knowing if it’s the real deal or just a fluke of lust.

Their story begins days before Christmas and goes through the holidays. It’s a feel good story with some cheesey moments, humor, a bit of angst, a classic ice skating scene, basically all the components you’d find in a Hallmark Christmas movie. So, if you love Hallmark Christmas movies, then you will love this book!

Be still my heart–what a wonderful story this was.

I absolutely LOVED Hunter. He was funny smart, attentive and had a heart of gold. I fell for him from the very first page. And don’t even get me started on Katie . She was sweet, cute and had a way about her that made you love her so easy.
Banter was hilarious, connection and chemistry was of the charts and I can honestly say that their relationship is the definition of true love.

I loved Jake and his personality. He was funny, smart and had a heart of gold. I loved how he made it his mission to help her without actually being to obvious how he felt for her.

Lacey was an interesting character. She was like a butterfly coming out of a cocoon while she was spending this with him. Simple put this was a great feel-good book.

I’m so happy the duo is back with this book because I’ve forgotten how much I like their writing style.

Naughty Neighbor is book 1 of the Falling Stars Series, which is Zodiac themed, this story being Libra. It’s a complete standalone contemporary romance that focuses on Jake Morreau and Lacey Rivers.

I think we all need a Jake Morreau of our own! He’s kind, intelligent, supportive, sexy, fun, and so much more. He can be cocky and he’s definitely confident, but he’s not rude or a jerk so it works for him. He’s a man who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to express himself. He’s the total package!!!

Lacey is witty, sassy, and an introvert. She’s not very trusting and hasn’t had the best experiences and relationships with the male species. It doesn’t help she grew up with a mother who ranted and raved about her father and basically dismisses the notion of love.

Lacey has hit a point in her writing career where’s she struggling to find words and the inspiration behind them. Until she starts interacting with her next door neighbor. He’s basically romance book gold. They strike up a friendship that blossoms into so much more and Lacey finds herself living her very own romance story…which scares the crap out of her. She lets fear dictate her feelings. She needs to pull her head out of her butt and realize Jake is the real deal, he’s a unicorn worth taking a leap of faith for.

Their story is a sweet, friends to lovers romance. It’s an entertaining, easy read with a happily ever after. You can expect some laughs and to be swooning hard through most of the book.
