Wyatt Armstrong never imagined that instead of celebrating his college graduation, he and his twin sister would be dealing with the death of their parents. Then again, Wyatt had never been one to think past tomorrow. He heads to their summer home in Harborside, Massachusetts, with his best friend Cassidy Lowell in tow, to deal with his parents’ death and to try to figure out his next step.

Six foot two, infuriatingly handsome, and flirtatious, Wyatt Armstrong has always been there for Cassidy, helping her pass her classes and fend off unwanted advances, while driving her insane with his one-night stands—but that’s what best friends are for, isn’t it? Having each other’s backs. There was never any doubt that she would accompany him to his family’s summer home—but she never expected to begin seeing Wyatt as more than a friend. Or has she been ignoring her feelings all along?

It’s impossible to ignore the sizzling heat between them as Wyatt and Cassidy get even closer, but Cassidy knows Wyatt’s past, and she has a real job to begin in the fall. Wyatt may be a sure thing for the summer, but Cassidy needs more. For the first time in his life, Wyatt is forced to look toward the future if he doesn’t want to lose the one woman who’s shared his past and owns his heart.

OMG Book Review
Catching Cassidy by Melissa Foster

I have to say, this story really surprised me. I honestly thought it was only going to be a well written (because when does Melissa Foster not write well?) friends to lovers story. But what I got was waaaay more than that….I got a story about beginnings, growth, trust, friendship, family and above all love in its purest and simplest forms. Yes, the story had angst, but the love did not. The journey of Cassidy and Wyatt from friends to lovers was pure desire. Yes, there were frustrating moments, but what adult at that age is not frustrating? lol

Melissa Foster did an exceptional job in the characterization of not only Cassidy and Wyatt but of all supporting characters as well. They were true to life. True to their age and experience. The story is told in both Wyatt and Cassidy’s POV so it is also well rounded making sure that you get the correct perspective of each of them as they journey thru their new found … romance 🙂

Sidenote: Wyatt and Cassidy are ridiculously hot between the sheets so be prepared with a fan and maybe a few pantie changes 🙂

DISCOVERING DELILAH is an New Adult Lesbian Romance (#LGBT)

After the death of her parents on the day of her college graduation, Delilah Armstrong thought she could finally follow her heart and come out to her closest friends, but the guilt of going against her parents’ beliefs haunts her. The feelings she has for her best friend, Ashley, are stronger than anything she’s felt before, but Delilah has never even kissed a girl, and fear stops her at every turn.

Ashley Carver promised herself that she would never again date another girl who wasn’t out, but that was before she met intoxicatingly sweet and sexy Delilah.

When another girl offers to teach Delilah the ropes, it changes Delilah’s whole world and gives her the courage to go after the only girl she really wants. But coming out isn’t as easy as Delilah imagined, and moving past her parents’ death and the feelings of guilt she is left with is even harder. The intense passion between Ashley and Delilah is too strong to deny, but coming together means risking everything.

Discovering Delilah is an edgy, evocative, romantic story of friendship, family, and the courage to love.

OMG Book Review
Discovering Delilah by Melissa Foster

This was just … wow. Even now, days after I’ve read it, I find myself misty-eyed just thinking about Delilah’s journey. This book was so much more than a romance story of finding a HEA…it was a journey of self discovery, acceptance, self love and above all, friendship!

I was lucky enough to have been able to read Delilah’s story right after finishing book 1 in the series, Catching Cassidy. I met Delilah long before “her book” came along and I felt deeply for her even then. Delilah’s entire life has been driven and ruled by guilt and fear. Fear of letting the world know who she really is and guilt for being who she is. She stirred something deep in me and it will be a long time before she is forgotten, if ever.

It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Melissa Foster, but fan or no fan, as a responsible reviewer I would let you know if a story wasn’t right. This story was not only right, it was flawless in its delivery. However, the romance of the story did take a back seat to the self discovery of the story. I think it’s important for future readers to understand that there are really two journeys going on in this book and when that happens, one is always going to take a backseat. But it was the right way, in my opinion. The road to HEA for Delilah and Ashley could never have happened if the road of self-discovery and acceptance didn’t happen with Delilah.

One last thing I want to point out is the diversity of this series and how great I think that is. Melissa Foster chose to write all kinds of relationships in this series and I think it showcases her talent as a writer. She can take any subject in any form and do it right. SO HUGE props to her! 🙂
